And then a global pandemic and financial crisis strike – so how do we remain stress-free and avoid burn-out? Thijs Launspach, a psychologist and expert on stress, has the answers you’re looking for.
Thijs Launspach is a Dutch psychologist who specializes in stress management, burn-out and millennial culture. Stress-related issues and how to alleviate them is a topic Thijs has been regularly giving lectures on, from TEDx Talk to universities and multinational companies. As a passionate public speaker and mindfulness trainer, Thijs helps people achieve a more calm and relaxed life through his dynamic presentations and masterclasses. In order to spread awareness of the importance of combating stress, Thijs has founded a company Rustburo, in which he guides people on fighting stress and avoiding burn-out.
In addition to his entrepreneurial and public speaking skills, Thijs is also an author of several books on subjects of stress relief and prevalence of mental health illness in millennials, including Fokking druk (‘Effing busy’) and Het Millennial Manifest (‘The Millennial Manifesto’). He currently teaches at the School of Life in Amsterdam, where he does classes and workshops on improving confidence, effectivity and focus.
