One could argue we live in restless times. With the rise of populism and authoritarianism, social insecurity, climate crisis… it is not surprising the public has lost faith in almost all authorities and started questioning the concept of truth itself. How do we go back from that? Well, the first step would be to flip the switch and start seeing this as an opportunity – the business sector in particular has the power and responsibility to establish trust and create value for society, above the race for profit.
The more aware we are, and the more willing we are to reset traditional management and process settings in that direction, the more we will justify the meaning of our existence. In fact, our panelists – Nina Išek Međugorac (Executive Director, Val grupa), Hrvoje Balen (President of the Board of Trustees, Algebra University College & President of the ICT Association, Croatian Employers’ Association), Amorella Horvat Topić (Manager in ESG Services, PwC Croatia), Saša Kramar (Member of the Management Board, Span) and Tino Prosenik (CEO, Gruntek) – will try to answer the biggest of questions: can the business sector exist tomorrow if it does not produce concrete and articulated social value?
