Grand Prix at BalCannes won by Pioniri Communications and Metalac x Konstrakta, Bruketa&Žinić&Grey is the Agency of the Year of BalCannes, while Radgonske gorice and The Fun&Fit Company got the title of Advertisers of the Year

The first festival night was opened by honouring the best agencies, advertisers and projects from five countries of the region!

The winners of BalCannes, a regional competition of creativity, where agencies from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Northern Macedonia, Slovenia and Serbia are competing with their innovative ideas, have been announced on April 20 in the Main Hall of DK2023. It has attracted the best of the best of regional creative people in Rovinj. Pioniri Communications and Metalac won the BalCannes Grand Prix for their Metalac x Konstrakta – Umetnica mora jesti kuvano project.

The title of the Agency of the Year in the region was won by Bruketa&Žinić&Grey.

The Advertiser of the Year award went to Radgonske gorice and The Fun&Fit Company! A special Editor’s Pick Award, in the selection of industry media from the region, went to Radgonske gorice and Bruketa&Žinić&Grey agency for their Untouched By Light project.

At BalCannes, which was for the first time held at DK Festival and has seen the greatest growth of the competition, by gathering the best that creativity has to offer in the five countries of our region, the agencies were able to compete in several categories of market business, and they could have won bronze, silver or gold awards for their projects within their respective categories. You can find a list of winners below:

In the Food category the winners of the gold award are:

  • The Fun&Fit Company and Why Not for the Literally for peanuts project.

The gold award in the Alcoholic Beverages goes to:

  • Radgonske gorice and Bruketa&Žinić&Grey and the Untouched By Light project.

The winners of the Non-alcoholic Beverages are:

  • Franck and Imago Ogilvy and the Beestro project.

The gold in the Finance and Insurance goes to:

  • Croatia osiguranje and Bruketa&Žinić&Grey and the Brigometar project.

In the Retail category the winners of thee gold are:

  • Lesnina MMS and Futura DDB for the Sweds project.

The gold prize in the Health and Pharmacy category goes to:

  • JADRAN – GALENSKI LABORATORIJ and UTORAK for the ŠTA TO STAVLJAŠ U NOS project.

The winners of the gold award in the Houshold category are:

  • Metalac and Pioniri Communications and the Metalac x Konstrakta – Umetnica mora jesti kuvano project.

The gold award in the Fashion and Beauty category goes to:

  • Varteks and Señor and the Otkrij Varteks project.

The gold award in the Tourism, Culture and Leisure category goes to:

  • Gradska knjižnica Poreč and Studio Sonda with the 100% COVID FREE Journey project.

In the Corporate Communications category the winners of the gold are:

  • The Fun&Fit Company and Why Not for the Literally for peanuts project.

The gold in the Miscellaneous category goes to:

  • Polovni automobili and Friday Finally and the 18+ godina sa vama! Polovni automobili project.

The winners of the Social Responsibility category are:

  • Helem nejse and Via Media and the Vote (Glas) project.

In the Telecommunications category nobody won the gold prize.

The winners of the silver award in the Food category are:

  • Burek Olimpija and Agencija 101 with the IN CHARGE DURING THE NIGHT project.

The silver award in the Alcoholic Beverages category goes to:

  • Zagrebačka pivovara and BBDO Zagreb for the Domoljubna Žuja project.

The silver award in the Non-alcoholic Beverages category goes to:

  • Pipi and Imago Ogilvy for the #volitePipi project.

The winners of the silver in the Telecommunications category are:

  • A1 Srbija and Leo Burnett Beograd and the Srećna mi NovA1 project.

In the Finance and Insurance category the silver award goes to:

  • Zagrebačka banka and Señor for the #Prviput project.

In the Retail category the silver award goes to:

  • Konzumu and ZOO agenciji with the Poziv Djeda Božićnjaka project.

The winners of the silver in the Health and Pharmacy category are:

  • JGL, brand Vizol S and Señor for the Oči ti šalju signale? project.

In the Household category the winners of the silver award are:

  • IKEA and BBDO Zagreb and the (NE)SIGURAN DOM project.

In the Fashion and Beauty category the silver award goes to:

  • Triple Jump and Ovation BBDO with the Converse – Rečnik nove stvarnosti project.

The silver award in the Tourism, Culture and Leisure category goes to:

  • Slovenian Tourist Board and Pristop Media for the Twitter Amplify – Tour de France campaign project.

The silver prize in the Corporate Communications category goes to:

  • Weiner osiguranje VIG and MITA Group for the Wiener osiguranje VIG na Sarajevo Film Festivalu project.

In the Social Responsibility category, the winners of the silver award are:

  • CESI and Señor and the Nije u redu u uredu project
  • WWF Adria and Communis for the Villa “Wilderness” project.

Nobody got the silver award in the Miscellaneous category.

The winners of the bronze award in the Food category are:

  • Kraš and Sonda Studio for the Čvarak Dorina project.

The bronze award in the Alcoholic Beverages category goes to:

  • Pivara Skopje and Publicis Skopje for the Smooth ON project.

In the Non-alcoholic Beverages category, the bronze award goes to:

  • Studena and Imago Ogilvy and the GUC GUC project.

In the Telecommunications category the winners of the bronze award are:

  • A1 Srbija and Leo Burnett Beograd for the Seniori – Imam minut project.

The bronze award in the Finance and Insurance category goes to:

  • LAQO by Croatia osiguranje and Bruketa&Žinić&Grey and the Pavle Pauq predstavlja LAQO project.

In the Retail category the bronze award goes to:

  • Konzum and ZOO agencija for the Jedna manje project.

In the Health and Pharmacy category the winners of the bronze award are:

  • Croatia osiguranje i Bruketa&Žinić&Grey and the Brigometar project.

The bronze award in the Household category goes to:

  • Saponia and Bruketa&Žinić&Grey for the Bili billboard project.

The third place in the Tourism, Culture and Leisure category goes to:

  • Beogradska filharmonija and McCann Beograd and the Muzika svuda project.

The winners of the bronze award in the Social Responsibility category are:

  • Franck and Imago Ogilvy for the Beestro project.

In Fashion and Beauty, Corporate Communications i Miscellaneous categories there were no winners of the bronze awards.

These are the people responsible for the selection of the winners at BalCannes – the members of the jury from agencies, advertisers and media from the region. Representatives of the advertising industry are: Petra Čadež (Atlantic Grupa, Slovenia), Jelena Čađenović (A1 Srbija, Serbia), Urban Kramberger (Pivovarna Laško Union, Slovenia), Nađa Lutvikadić Fočo (BH Telecom, Bosnia and Herzegovina), Dijana Matić (Violeta, Bosnia and Herzegovina), Maja Naumovska Saveska (HALKBANK AD Skopje, Northern Macedonia), Bojana Nenadović (Coca-Cola HBC, Serbia), Alina Radusin (Wiener osiguranje Vienna Insurance Group, Croatia) and Zvonimir Seki (Franck, Croatia).

These are the experts that were representing the agencies when deciding on the best projects: Luka Bajs (SHIFT, Slovenia), Sašo Dimitrievski (Pristop, Slovenja), Jelena Fiškuš (Studio Sonda, Croatia), Bojan Hadžihalilović (Fabrika, BIH), Vladimir Mitrović (Ovation BBDO, Serbia), Sašo Pešev (New Moment Skopje, Northern Macedonia), Anja Radulović (Leo Burnett Beograd, Serbia), Dejan Spirkoski (Saatchi & Saatchi, Northern Macedonia), Dejan Šijuk (Aquarius Banja Luka, BIH) and Nikola Žinić (Bruketa&Žinić&Grey, Croatia).

A choice for the special BalCannes Editor’s Pick Award was made by this jury group:  Sandra Babić (Lider Media, Croatia), Nenad Danilović (Advertiser Serbia, Serbia), Ekrem Dupanović (Media Marketing, Bosnia and Herzegovina), Boris Eftimofski (Marketing 365, Northern Macedonia) and Simona Kruhar Gaberšček (Marketing Magazin, Slovenia).

The glamorous atmosphere of the main stage at the festival alongside confetti, victory speeches and the great mood of our communications community have made the celebration of regional creative projects that much more special, and the celebrations continued in a more informal setting. After the first evening, there will be award ceremonies for IdejaX and Young Lions Croatia powered by Elan on Friday and MIXX and Effie Awards Croatia on Saturday.
