Applications for Young Lions Croatia are now open. Young professionals once again have the opportunity to compete for a place at the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity and represent Croatia on the global Young Lions stage.
The competition will take place live on 21–22 February 2026 in Zagreb, and the winning team will earn a ticket to Cannes Lions 2026.
Young Lions Croatia is the national competition under the Cannes Lions license that gathers the next generation of talent across the communication industry — including creatives, digital, media, PR and marketing professionals from agencies, brands and independent practice. Applications are open until 13 February 2026, with more information available on the official website.
Teams of two have 24 hours to respond to a brief for a non-profit or civil society organization and deliver a complete solution. Working from the Zagreb Innovation Center (ZICER) without outside distractions, participants enter an intense creative sprint focused on clarity, execution and collaboration. Shutterstock will support teams with access to its visual library throughout the competition.
Competitors can apply in one of six categories: Design powered by Igepa Plana, Digital, Print, PR, Media and Marketers. The competition is open to teams of two aged 30 or under (born 1996 or later) from agencies, brands, in-house teams or as independent professionals.
Young Lions: The Hunt Begins
The competition season opens on 5 February at Botaničar with the kick-off event The Hunt Begins, where participants will learn more about the brief format, judging criteria and the overall competition experience — including what participation in Cannes looks like in practice.
