A new season of Effie Awards Croatia is on the horizon and the Organizing Committee is ready

Dani Komunikacija

The Effie Awards Croatia Organizing Committee is actively preparing for the upcoming edition of the competition, focusing on further raising standards, strengthening the relevance of the awards and recognizing the most effective marketing communications. The Committee has also welcomed a new member representing advertisers, Alina Selanac.

Effectiveness remains at the heart of Effie Awards Croatia, an award that recognizes and rewards marketing communications with proven results. The Organizing Committee is already preparing for the next edition, continuing its efforts to advance competition standards, encourage high-quality entries and further strengthen the reputation of the Effie Awards within Croatia’s communications industry. Over the years, Effie Awards Croatia has showcased numerous campaigns demonstrating how strategic thinking and creativity can translate into tangible, measurable business results, highlighting the importance of effective marketing communications.

The Organizing Committee plays a key role in the development and success of the competition, from encouraging high-quality entries and ensuring that the most deserving projects are recognized to consistently upholding Effie Worldwide’s international rules and standards. Its work focuses on continuously raising industry standards, reinforcing the value of marketing effectiveness and increasing the visibility and recognition of Croatia’s communications industry across Europe and globally.

The Organizing Committee has been further strengthened by the addition of Alina Selanac (Wiener osiguranje), a new representative of the advertiser community, selected through a process conducted in accordance with the Committee’s Rules and Guidelines Rules of Procedure. Alongside her, advertisers are represented by Dubravka Štefanac (A1 Hrvatska) and Bruno Krčelić (ENNA grupa), while agency representatives include Dina Dretvić (Imago Ogilvy), Ljiljana Ivošević (OMD Media) and Jelena Fiškuš (Studio Sonda). The independent representatives are Andrea Mišura Žuvela (Mizuco) and Mario Fraculj (Algebra Bernays University), while Eva Trstenjak also serves on the Committee as a representative of HURA and IAB Croatia.

Capturing attention is no easy task today, and keeping it is even harder. New tools allow us to communicate faster and more than ever before, but the key question is how much value we are creating for the people we reach and the businesses we build. That is why I believe in marketing that combines creative ambition with business responsibility, delivers results today, and builds trust and brand strength over time. This is where I see the unique role of Effie, which not only rewards results but also sets the standard for strategic thinking even before the first brief is written, when the objectives of a campaign are defined. As a member of the Organizing Committee, I want to encourage advertisers and agencies to submit work that best demonstrates these principles. By recognizing such examples, we raise the ambitions of the entire industry and encourage ideas that enable Croatia’s communications professionals to compete on equal footing internationally, said new member Alina Selanac (Wiener osiguranje). With the upcoming edition, the competition continues its long-standing mission: to recognize and reward ideas that deliver not only creative solutions but also real, measurable results. These are the projects that demonstrate the value of marketing communications and contribute to the continued development of the industry. For more information, visit the official website.
