DK2022 organizers ordered sunny weather, but here’s what happened

The DK organizing committee was spotted relaxing at the beach completely unbothered by rain in the final hours before the festival.

The DK organizing committee arrived in Rovinj to give their stamp of approval on the final preparations for the long-awaited festival of creativity, which is set to begin on 31 March after a three-year break.

However, local passers-by reported that the leadership of the festival, consisting of Dunja Ivana Ballon, Anđela Buljan Šiber, Damir Ciglar and Nikola Žinić, along with Davor Bruketa, who will allegedly join the others later, was spotted relaxing on the beach – which would have been a dreamy streaming location had it not been for the rainy forecast. We have also obtained photographic evidence taken by Lorna Kijurko. It is not known who is taking care of the festival in the meantime.

Excellent organizational skills unfortunately cannot be used to alter the weather forecast, but the organizers of this unusual festival believe that the most important thing is to make the most out of every situation, even if it means enjoying the beach in the rain, confirmed a source close to the festival’s organizing committee.

The rain is in fact an excellent ally to the communications industry because it will help achieve an important and challenging goal: to gather the inspiring DK community under the same roof. Everyone already knows that the DK festival loves and hates the communications industry, but there is pure love for the excellent atmosphere, which, in addition to the 190 square meters of LED screens in the main hall and numerous lectures and panel discussions, will be complemented by the expanded festival space, which also includes new streaming locations from the main hall: in Šumica under the green canopy on the 2nd floor of the hotel, in the lobby in front of the main hall and in the club, with coffee and good company. Streaming on the beach, it seems, will wait for better weather.

We don’t hate the classic conference flair, we just find it terribly boring, said Dunja Ivana Ballon, the executive director of HURA and DK festival & Program Director, while chilling on the beach.

That nothing is classic at the festival was also confirmed by the lecturers with whom the participants will mingle this year: James Victore, professional hell-raiser, author of the world bestseller Feck Perfuction, an artist who exhibited at MoMA and the Louvre, and a designer who raises dust on every stage. where he performs; Maria von Scheel-Plessen, director of fashion house Gucci for communications and media for 37 countries in Europe, the Middle East and Asia; Chris Do, an Emmy Award-winning designer who is followed by millions on social media and many others.
