Visionary Futurist | AOL’s former Chief Evangelist | Digital Philosopher (USA)
Hall AAA | Saturday | 11:50AM
We know you love a good throwback so David “Shingy” Shing is back. Yes, that Shingy. The same one who lit up our stage in 2015 and stirred up just the right amount of chaos in the market. And now? He’s even sharper, even more impossible to ignore — and yes, still rocking better hair than you. If you missed this digital visionary at DK2015, maybe these words found in Forbes can paint a good picture: “Artist, globe trotting speaker and market seeker, he is a storyteller who identifies emerging trends, and inspires clients to think differently.”
Since we last saw him, Shingy has continued fusing tech, culture and creativity into something wildly original — with the kind of instinct you can’t teach. LVMH, Chanel, Nike… they call him when they want to know what’s next, which is not surprising since he helps them take ideas from “hm?” to “holy sh*t” with a cocktail of instinct, iconography and imagination. Basically, if your brand had a nervous breakdown and needed a therapist/designer/visionary in one… you’d call Shingy.
So yeah, we invited him back. When someone rewires how you think about digital, you don’t leave it as a one-time thing. And when he gets on stage, don’t expect a keynote. Expect a perspective that makes C-suites and creatives actually think. This visionary futurist doesn’t just predict the future — he builds it, performs it, draws it and dresses better than it. If he left a mark on your brain in 2015, consider yourself lucky to get a second dose of his awesome awesomeness. And if you missed him, congratulations, you’re in for a ride.
David Shing: Nothing Changes If Nothing Changes
“Content matters — but context reigns supreme.” We're moving into an era where technology and humanity intertwine more profoundly than ever. AI is no longer just about automation; it's about meaningful conversations, authentic co-creation, and inspiring connections. In a world of sensory-rich technologies — data you can feel, intelligence you can wear — brands have an opportunity to craft genuinely artful interactions that bridge the evolving boundaries between work, play, and creativity. How can brands embrace this humanized approach to AI, fostering deeper engagement and more purposeful interactions. This session invites you to reimagine AI not as a tool for perfection, but as a catalyst for progress.
