The Young Lions Croatia competition is happening live on 7—8 March 2025, in Zagreb. The best of the best will earn their ticket to Cannes Lions, the world’s biggest festival of creativity, where they’ll battle it out in the global Young Lions competition.
This is yet another gladiator match for young professionals under 30. Stripped from the safety of their teams, they’ll fight for the title of the best in Croatia and the chance to put Croatia’s creative industry on the map at the Cannes Young Lions. To make sure only the finest ideas survive, the jury is stacked with top experts from across the communication industry.
Meet the jury — the ones who call the shots
This year’s head judge is Sean Poropat (Studio Sonda), backed by a power panel including Lucija Dorotić (404 agency), Nebojša Grbačić (CVOKE), Anamarija Horaček (MMB Media Agentur), Alen Kekić (I TO NIJE SVE!), Marina Knežević (Kraš), Marijana Novak (Pro media group), Zvonimir Pelko (JGL), Ivica Skočić (McCann Zagreb), and Petar Tanta (CTA komunikacije). And just to keep things interesting, a mystery judge — a client representative — will make an appearance at the start of the competition.
The ultimate creative survival challenge
Young Lions Croatia throws competitors straight into the creative wild, where teams of two have 24 hours to deliver a winning idea for a real client. Locked away in Zagreb’s Innovation Center (ZICER), completely cut off from the outside world, they’ll have no choice but to unleash their raw creativity and prove they’re the ultimate predators of the communication jungle. Luckily, Shutterstock will be their hunting ground, providing access to its vast library.
If you’re under 30 you can compete in one of six categories: Design, Digital, Marketers, Media, Print, and PR. Choose your battlefield wisely — only the strongest ideas will survive.
Young Lions: The Hunt Begins
To give contestants a fighting chance, the organizers are hosting Young Lions: The Hunt Begins, an exclusive event on 26 February at Botaničar in Zagreb.
