Entries for the prestigious Effie Awards Croatia are officially open, marking the start of a new search for the most effective marketing projects in Croatia. As a leading standard of effectiveness that rewards proven results, Effie once again introduces important updates to keep pace with industry development and respond to the needs of an increasingly diverse market.

Effie is known as the award most appreciated by clients and advertisers because it measures concrete market results. Agencies value it because it offers the best learning ground for processes and organization — those who follow Effie frameworks are guaranteed to set clear, measurable objectives, creating stronger foundations for creative processes and high-quality results that can be communicated transparently. This year, the Organizing Committee has focused on demystifying the complexity of the entry process and providing all available forms of support, from education to consultations. We believe this will motivate those who have not yet dared to become part of the Effie competition. It is truly worth the effort — not only for the award itself, but for the experience and professional growth, said Jelena Fiškuš (Studio Sonda), member of the Effie Awards Croatia Organizing Committee.

Expanded categories for more precise market evaluation

To ensure more detailed evaluation of projects across different sectors, five new product and service categories have been introduced:

  • Automotive Industry and Aftersales
  • Energy
  • Travel and Tourism
  • Culture and Arts
  • Sport, Entertainment and Leisure

These new categories allow for more precise classification of entries and further strengthen Effie’s ability to reflect specific challenges and opportunities within individual industries.

This season also introduces new special categories designed to address specific business situations or challenges. Entries submitted in special categories must present the business context or challenge in line with the predefined criteria and category definitions. The new special categories are:

  • Product / Service Launch
  • Innovation in Marketing and Business
  • Influencer Marketing

Enhanced video summary with results

One of the key updates this year is the upgraded creative video summary, which now allows the presentation of campaign results. Video summaries may run up to three minutes, or four minutes in the Long-Term Effectiveness category. All results shown in the video must also be included in the written entry. As finalist and winning videos will be publicly available, confidential information is not permitted.

Entry deadlines and benefits for entrants

The early entry deadline closes on January 16, 2026, the regular deadline on February 2, 2026, and the late deadline on February 20, 2026.

This year’s eligibility period covers effective projects implemented between August 20, 2024, and February 20, 2026. In the Sustained Success category, which focuses on sustained marketing success, projects and campaigns implemented in Croatia between February 20, 2023, and February 20, 2026 are eligible.

A special benefit has been introduced for new entrants and those who have not submitted projects in the past three years: they receive a 30% discount on their first entry this season, further expanding the community of professionals who promote and prove marketing effectiveness through their work.
