The new edition of the competition that awards the most significant achievements on the market introduces several new categories. The submissions are open until 15 February 2023 and the winners will be announced at the awards ceremony of DK2023 in Rovinj.
Submissions are open for the 14th edition of Effie Awards Croatia, the pre-eminent industry awards that promote effective marketing practices and activities which yield great market results. The Effie award is given out for the most significant achievements in market communications under the slogan Ideas that work – and in addition to creativity, effectiveness and strategic thinking of campaigns are crucial.
The importance of effective communication is increasing every day and it is becoming imperative for success in business. Therefore, this year the competition is introducing new categories, which perfectly reflect today’s market circumstances and highlight marketing effectiveness in their service. A special seminar for entrants was also held, and the recording is available to everyone to prepare the highest quality submissions.
The Corporate Reputation and Public Relations category is intended for communications activities that promote corporations, not exclusively their products. It will celebrate activities carried out for the purpose of establishing and building relationships between the corporation and its key stakeholders, including sponsorships and the creation of the company’s identity and/or brand strengthening.
Media Innovation will award innovative use of existing media, creation of new media, use of technology and related activities, while the Media Strategy and Idea category aims to honour ideas derived from media thinking that are so powerful that they become the genesis of communication. The Social Media category focuses on campaigns launched with the express intention of using social media as the primary means of communication between the brand and the consumer, and campaigns where social media advertising is their backbone.
The Tourism, Leisure and Entertainment category will include all marketing services in the field of tourism and travel and all other forms of entertainment. The category of Low-budget Campaigns, already known to competitors, will focus on variations of existing products that have achieved excellent results through skilful marketing – on a limited budget.
Projects and campaigns that ran in Croatia from 1 September 2021 to 15 February 2022 can be submitted to the competition. Considering the importance of adequate preparation, entrants are recommended to go through the submission form as soon as possible – before the entry system opens on 16 January – in order to make their entries as high-quality as possible. There are three submission deadlines: the early one will last until 22 January, the regular deadline closes on 4 February, while the late deadline for applications is 15 February 2023.
