The detailed overview of this year’s regional competition of creativity titled BALCANNES, MOSAIC OF CREATIVITY encompasses a series of ranking lists with information about the best projects, advertisers and agencies from the region and its five respective countries: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Northern Macedonia, Slovenia and Serbia!
The winners of BalCannes were announced at DK2023 for the first time ever – and this year the regional competition had the biggest year in its 10-year-long history, with more than 180 submitted projects. Agencies from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Northern Macedonia, Slovenia and Serbia had the opportunity to compete for gold, silver and bronze awards in 13 different business categories in which they usually compete on the market with campaigns over a two-year eligibility period. Now it is time to spotlight the best of the region’s creativity in the BalCannes Report, the definitive outline of the industry activity in the region.
The importance of the BalCannes Report – apart from uniting the region, stimulating healthy competition and the exchange of knowledge and experience – lies in the fact that it broadens the region’s horizons. The report mirrors all current trends in the communications industry on no less than 58 pages, making it a true mosaic of the region’s creativity.
CONTENTS OF THE REGIONAL BALCANNES REPORT
The BalCannes Report consists of three sections: (1) best projects, (2) best advertisers and (3) best agencies. You will see their rankings in the region as whole as well as the rankings by particular countries. Don’t forget – the report lists the campaigns based on their score rather than in alphabetical order. It is thus the first report of its kind that shows the entrants how the Advertisers Jury members evaluated their projects, how the Agencies Jury gave their scores as well as the perspective of the Media Jury.
WINNERS OF THE BALCANNES 2023
At the DK festival in Rovinj, Pioniri Communications and Metalac won the BalCannes Grand Prix for their Metalac x Konstrakta – Umetnica mora jesti kuvano project. The title of the best agency of the five countries went to Bruketa&Žinić&Grey, while the advertiser of the year award went to Radgonske gorice and The Fun&Fit Company. A special Editor’s Pick Award, given out by the representative of the industry media from the region, went to Radgonske gorice and Bruketa&Žinić&Grey for their Untouched By Light project.
