With its ancient architecture, shimmering Adriatic Sea views, and the iconic Diocletian Palace, Split was once a place that didn’t need to fight for its rightful place at the table. But the looming threat of centralization and the sometimes negative public perception have tarnished its grandeur according to some, with some media labelling it as an “accidental city”. But how is it really? Where does Split fit into this narrative of talent going away to the capital and what is the role of the community of young tech and communication experts that keep the city afloat?
The exploration of the historical and contemporary dynamics of doing business in Split is coming to DK2024, in a session moderated by Pinija Poljaković (Media and Public Speaking Trainer, Master of Ceremonies, Speaker), who will ask Luka Šipić (Owner/Managing Director, Vrh komunikacije), Toni Miličević (Head of Marketing, Locastic) and Romana Ban (Content Creator & Event Organizer, Split Tech City) all about the Split state of mind — where it was, where it stands now and where it’s going.
