On the Role of Creativity Today

Dani Komunikacija

Hall AAA | Saturday | 3PM

A chef, an architect, a fashion designer, an Oscar nominee, an art curator and a creative walk into a panel discussion.

No punchline here — just our program director Dunja setting the stage for a thought-provoking discussion that dares to ask: What does creativity really mean for businesses today? Is it a secret ingredient to everything, a business necessity, or a nuisance that needs to be “managed”?

The intricate nuances of creativity and creative work in contemporary times have many implications that ensue. And in a world that measures everything, does it still get to surprise us? Can creativity still challenge the norm, shape culture and drive real change — or is it now simply expected to behave, perform and deliver?

Bringing together some extraordinary individuals and top voices from radically different creative worlds — from cuisine to architecture, fashion, film, art and branding — this conversation promises to discuss the role of creativity today in all its glory. With one of the most internationally awarded creative directors in Croatia and our own and dear President at HURA Jelena Fiškuš (Creative Director and Co-founder, Studio Sonda; Board President at HURA and IAB Croatia) as the moderator, an Oscar nominated director and Visionary of the Year Nebojša Slijepčević (Film Director), a successful chef and owner of one of Zagreb’s only Michelin-starred restaurant Mario Mandarić (Chef, Noel), art curator and cultural manager Vanja Žanko (Nomad), a renowned fashion designer Juraj Zigman (Head of Design, Zigman) and a famous architectural genius Marko Dabrović (Architect & Senior Partner, Studio 3LHD) — yes, that one behind the creation Lone, this is definitely going to be an interesting discussion that you really wouldn’t want to miss.
