Victor Knaap is coming to DK2023, a festival of creativity that will take Rovinj by storm on 20-23 April!
With offices in Amsterdam, London, and New York and a staff of over 9000 talented monks, Media.Monks is the biggest creative digital production agency on the planet. The trophies and recognition from the FWA, Cannes Lions, BIMA, the Webbies, and the Lovies, amongst others, are a nice indication of the love, dedication, and eye for detail brought to the projects. The beginnings were not so glamorous, which is precisely what their CEO Victor Knaap will speak about at DK2023 this April!
After sailing around Europe for a living, former skipper Victor dropped his anchor in the choppy waters of Hilversum (just outside of Amsterdam) in 2003. He became a foundational member of Media.Monks, turning a basement boutique into a global business. With his leading role at Media.Monks, Knaap is also an executive director of S4Capital – working alongside Sir Martin Sorrell, the founder of the largest marketing network in the world and an advertising legend who already visited the DK Festival.
Today, Knaap is taking the stage with his dynamic talks on business and digital growth that leave no one indifferent. On the contrary, one person may leave the room offended, but the next ten will obtain an entirely new perspective on the industry thanks to him. His uncompromising actions are perhaps best demonstrated by his winning formula for transforming a small team into a global creative brand.
The first ingredient is his golden rule – buy, barter, or die. The second is – Don’t play it safe! And the third and perhaps most important: Be kind to interns – some of MediaMonks’ first interns are now leading faces of the company! For the rest of his lectures on business growth and progress, join the participants at DK2023 in Rovinj at the talk titled How to Build an Agency While the Whole World is Watching.
The DK Festival, a national festival of communications and creativity visited by thousands of attendees every year, always asks unconventional questions and searches for unexpected answers, offers unforgettable experiences and gathers the inspiring creative community in one place. Following Edward Snowden, who will join the festival participants via video link on the tenth anniversary of the revelation of the mass surveillance system that shocked the world; evangelist, visionary, and rock-star of the tech world James Whittaker; Munise Can, strategic expert and director of Highsnobiety, who helps brands chart a path to secure success; leading creative from far Japan Toshihiko Tanabe; leading global sex tech authority Bryony Cole; and now Victor Knaap, the announcements of many more inspiring speakers are soon to follow.
Creatives, marketers, digital experts, media, and other communicators that want to be in the company of national and global industry leaders are welcome. More information about tickets and accommodation but do join us at DK2023.
