The latest edition of the communications and creativity festival will take place on 20-23 April at Hotel Lone in Rovinj. Its exceptional program will bring together the most engaging community of creatives, marketers, digital experts, media professionals and all communication enthusiasts.
“How is this even possible?!” – this is the most common reaction when encountering the works of the directorial duo Julien Vallée and Eve Duhamel, who share the same passion: manifesting creative visions into material objects and spaces. Their signature playful style has attracted some of the world’s biggest brands, including Apple, Google, Samsung, Hermès, Coca-Cola, and even Katy Perry. This April, they will join the creative community of DK Festival in Rovinj!
In a world that demands continuous originality, they take the concept of uniqueness to new levels. Before they met, Julien was a graphic designer, while Eve worked as a visual artist. They recognized new surrealist worlds in each other, which they successfully create together today, twisting the reality we know with indispensable elements of colourfulness and quirky humour.
Their complex narratives combine top-notch directing techniques with a poetic visual signature, constantly surprising and delighting the viewer. “Let’s face it – our society is trapped within the boundaries of common sense and rationality. Our approach allows your brain to make connections where logic would otherwise prevent it“, they firmly believe. It is almost unbelievable how everyday things, through their eyes, turn into something completely new, documenting the magnetic energy of their creators, inviting us into their irresistible and vivid world.
Experimentation, trial & error, accepting the unexpected and looking from a new perspective comprise the elements of the extraordinary life and work of Vallée Duhamel, who will open the doors to their creative world to the attendees of the DK Festival, where they will share the details of their artistic process and original ideas. Energetic and charming, their talk titled The Word for Work is Play will appeal to everyone who loves to combine advertising with art – especially those who want to turn their job into an inexhaustible creative game.

Following Edward Snowden former CIA officer and National Security Agency (NSA) contractor who will join the festival via video link; James Whittaker, evangelist, visionary, and rockstar of the tech world; Munise Can, a strategy expert from Highsnobiety who helps brands find new ways to matter; creative person of the year from faraway Japan Toshihiko Tanabe; the world’s leading authority on sextech Bryony Cole; Media.Monk’s Main Monk from the world’s biggest creative digital production agency Victor Knaap; Rory Sutherland, one of the most original thinkers in the advertising industry and beyond; and now the surrealist directing duo Vallée Duhamel, the announcements of many more inspiring speakers are soon to follow.
