Everybody knows that creativity, sun, and sea are the perfect combination and DK Festival will open its festival doors to creatives, digital experts, communicators, designers, and all enthusiasts of creativity on 11—14 April at the Lone Hotel in Rovinj. The official festival schedule has been released, revealing that everyone will be able to engage in a series of interesting discussions on topics relevant to the creative industry, making the festival a special opportunity for the development of creative potential — and discussions about them over three days and in four different halls, which will put creativity in focus from morning until night.
THE FOLDER OF SHAME: CELEBRATING OUR REGRETTABLE CAMPAIGNS!
Sometimes campaigns achieve desired market results, but their creators still don’t feel a sense of complete satisfaction. DK2024 will briefly delve into the dark side and, with the aim of sharing valuable experiences, highlight aspects of the creative process that are often swept under the rug. The Folder of Shame: Celebrating Our Regrettable Campaigns! will be moderated by Karla Andrić (Integrated Strategist, HDNP & HAIKU communications), and she will be joined by Jelena Babić (Creative Strategist, Jelen&Jelen), Domagoj Davidović (Creative Strategist, Minus Minus Agency, IAB Croatia Member) and Krešimir Končić (Owner, Neuralab, IAB Croatia Member) who will reminisce about their not entirely successful campaigns and share interesting lessons they have learned from them.
WORKING WITH AN AGENCY 101
Are there rules of creativity in the communications industry? Despite often being considered infinite and subjective, creativity in advertising still has principles and guidelines that can help effectively steer it towards the target audience. In the discussion Working With an Agency 101, Luka Duboković (CEO, BBDO Zagreb; HURA and IAB Croatia Member) will share 20 ultimate tips for creating successful marketing campaigns with the participants — and will support the theory with practice by presenting a series of best and worst creative examples.
PACKAGING 360°
In recent years especially, there has been a trend in the design scene towards increasingly high-quality packaging design, particularly in the food and beverage sector. Can it be mathematically proven that top-notch design or redesign affects increased demand, and ultimately, in what way does design thinking help the client in the broader picture? How can such an approach to design help other types of products position themselves in the market and on shelves? This is why HDD has gathered an amazing group of designers and creatives — Sven Sorić (President of the Croatian Designers Association), Izvorka Jurić (Creative & Art Director, Dig studio), Sean Poropat (Cofounder & Creative Director, Studio Sonda, HURA and IAB Croatia Member) and Anselmo Tumpić (Creative Director and Cofounder, Studio Tumpić/Prenc, HURA and IAB Croatia Member) — to talk about the beautifully crafted story of the return of the packaging on the panel Packaging 360°.
